Food was very good, Avocado toast, hamburgers, onion rings were cooked perfectly. Drinks were super - no short pours here!

Food was great . We had the chicken fried steak and mad with a side of broccoli with cheese. The cheese was a bit spicy I like it but too spicy for wife's taste . Down side they charge me $2.00 for a split plate . Wth!!!

Breakfast is amazing. Great vibe in the place, friendly service, and the food was delicious! One of San Antonio's finest!

We've been here twice now and both times were a great experience. I think the first time we went I had their special at the time which was a red velvet latte, and then I ordered the migas haufbrau. Chefs kiss for both. The second time I had the toasted bees knees cocktail, and an espresso martini. Both were very good. The espresso martini is strongggg, but I know people like it that way. I had the avocado toast the second time and it was good, but it does come with a salsa on it. I would have preferred it to be more avocado forward, but that's just me! I'm sure some people love it that way. :) Service was 10/10 both times. They have a big outdoor area as well, and we saw people out there with their dogs.

The Mama's location on Westheimer in Houston was a favorite 42 years ago. I was so happy to see Mama's during my trip to San Antonio. It was as good as I remembered it. They still have liver and onions on the menu. Who does that any more? I had the Ranch Hand Breakfast because lunch wasn't gonna happen. As heavy as its description in the menu makes it sound. And delicious. The onion rings were a nice touch. Reminds me of the pork and greens at Saws Soul Kitchen in Birmingham.

Sat at the bar for dinner and drinks recently. We enjoyed talking with Skyler, who took great care of us. We love how all of the staff work together as a team and are always smiling and friendly. This is an added plus to the delicious meals and drinks Mama's Cafe serves. Portions are generous and affordable. Restaurant and bar is always clean and tidy no matter how busy they get. Save room for the chocolate cake a la mode, it is a must try!

Came here for the holidays and luckily beat the rush around 10am on a Sunday! Parking can be annoying as it's 1 way diagonal parking in the front in but plenty of parking in the back so I recommend using that entrance. Service was amazing. Big shout out for our server Xavier for taking care of us despite how busy it was. Portions here are huge and delicious. Highly recommend the Ranch Hand and Papas Breakfast! The Ranch Hand was just enough pot roast to almost give you food coma Papas breakfast had me thinking it was one of the best chicken fried steaks I've had in a long time in the SATX area. Plenty of seating and can get kinda loud but it still felt homey with the cool decor. Will def be back.
